Re: How fast do you drive? ALL

I made the trip to east to Reading, PA for the NHRA Keystone Nationals this past Saturday. My tired 244 really felt the extra weight of two extra big guys, but was content to hold 75mph most of the time. I was passing just about everybody, which seemed odd, but all the traffic was coming the other way on 322 due to the PSU football game. I averaged only 24mpg, but then that car has always gotten poor fuel economy, no matter how it's driven.

The 240 hits a wall areodynamically at much over 65-70mph It takes a lot more effort to go past that speed than any lower speed.

In general I always keep it within 15mph of the limit even though I can be almost positive I won't meet and speed traps. I judge it on what I might meet, children, animals, and such. When I first got my license, I flew all over the place, but then i realized (luckily not the hard way) that at those speeds, in control, but on the edge, that it would only take one thing to go wrong for very bad things to happen.

Will R.
