Re: Electrical Problem driving me crazy! 700 89

I had a very similar problem with my 1989 740 GL. Something was draining the battery. Turns out it was the amplifier for the sound system. Took fuse out and problems went away. It is a sad statement when mechanics who hold themselves out as experts are unable to troubleshoot something as simple as a current drain. In my case, my mechanic found the problem in less than ten minutes. After finding out my amplifier was fried, I had a really good excuse to go out and buy a new CD head unit for the dash and a ten disc changer for the trunk.
