164 vs. 164E 140-160 69-75

How dramatic a difference is there between the older 164s, which had dual stromburgs (and often no overdrive) and the 164E, with fuel injection and overdrive?

I know from experience that a 140 or 240 without OD produces ringing ears on the freeway. Does the big B30A help make up for no OD? Or is it still an ear-ringer? Let's assume M400 or M410 trans...no way I'm getting a BW35.

The specs say the B30F had significantly more HP than the old B30A. But did fuel injection cause a lot of new headaches?

I've seen some people rip on dual stromburgs. Were they really that bad? Can the dual stromburgs on an older 164 be upgraded to a Weber system?

TIA for sharing your collective wisdom. I'm still searching for the right 164, and want to make sure I get it right the first time.
