Checking TPS, AMM 700 1985

Quick question:

HOw do I troubleshoot the AMM; the TPS; and the fuel pressure regular (without a pressure gauge, I do have vacuum gauge)

Also, what is the large vacuum hose on the bottom back of intake manifold connected to? I can see the piece, but can't figure out what it is!

Engine barely runs. Help!
