Re: Anyway to Pull Codes on volvos? 700 1988

The ignition system on your car (all Bosch ignition 700's from 84-88 all and the 89 turbos) has a lead on the driver's side inner fender with a pink remote starter wire and another wire that is red/yellow on some and some other color I can't recall on the others. This wire can display single digit codes once you've driven car and do not switch off ignition, there is no storage of codes. The codes are few and basically tell you that there is no load signal from LH fuel inj via two flashes and there is no knock sensor input via 4 flashes.

If your car has the airbag then it has stored codes anytime the SRS lamp is lit after you start engine.
