ignition timing is not adjustable on your year.

cleaning the tb probably isn't related to fuel mileage...if your car is running well, i.e., not dying at stops which is the classic dirty tb issue, it prob doesn't need cleaning.

It's possible the 02 sensor is lazy or shot, read the FAQ on how to test it in the car.

I would expect around 19-20mpg around town based on my 87 760T and 90 740T cars, but your 940T is somewhat heavier and geared maybe a little longer legged. Coupled with a heavy foot around town....still, you should get at least 16-17.

Mileage on my 90 740T is down to 18 this month because of the oxygenated fuel that is being pushed on us in the DC area. Or it could be because of the new rising rate fuel pressure regulator and 15 lbs of boost....
