Engine revs on when shifting...

I have a 1982 GL wagon, now Turbo'd. You know how it goes when running through the gear, press clutch while releasing accellerator, engine revs drop off, shift, press gas and release clutch. Except with mine, the engine revs do not drop off. It lingers up there for a while before the revs drop off. Before that happens, I already have the clutch out.

Any idea why the revs do not drop off? The throttle cable and spool are not sticky; the throtle position microswitch is adjusted correctly.

The car has K-jet-tronic, constant idle system [CIS] and Lambda-Sond; and of course the intercooled Turbo.

Thanks again.
