Need procedure for dist. seal replacement 900 1995

I think I have finally located the oil leak in my wife's 1995 945T. I see drips on the lowest bellhousing bolt, used to think that I had a seeping real main seal (about 2 drops on the floor each morning).

Now I think the leak may be from the distributor shaft seal (I have the camshaft driven distributor). I wiped the area beneath the distributor with a paper towel, and found a small amount of fresh oil.

I have seen plenty of info regarding where to get seals (Honda lawnmower, etc.) and how to press them in, but not much reagrding R & R of distributor mechanism itself.

If anyone has any info, or could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Will I need to remove valve cover (and replace gasket)?

BTW, PCV system seems to be in good order. Cleaned out breather, flame trap, orifice, etc. couple of months ago, passes jiggle test.
