whats the normal gas mileage for a 240 wagon 200 1993

I am a new brick owner and have no clue what the average gas mileage is for a 240 wagon. I know that Volvo"s are heavy but it seems like I'm going to the pump often.My wagon has 59,000.00 and is in mint condition.
