Re: Volvo special tool 5284 200 '82, '84, '88

I bought one last month also,but from SPX corp. I got the same tool as you,but made in Sweden. This tool works beautifully. I had to use my leg to push the breaker bar and loosen the center bolt and the tool held securley. I think the job was so much faster than before because the tool did not let the crank get out of alignment with the other 2 gears. Anyone who has to change a timing belt him/herself should have access to one of these (it sure saves time compared to the "rope trick"). Good luck, Genaro.
