Re: OD GURU NEW ADDRESS ALL ALL

The problem was not the wind chill, it was the lack of proper coolant mix. As engine cranked, fan sat still as belts made it known they were not turning. Radiator and heater hoses felt nice and solid. I knew of the problem, but was not able to react fast enough to get the car inside and add anti freeze. Then no tow vehicles available for 48 hours. So it is froze pretty solid.

Right now the car is inside where it is warm. AS soon as the 1/4" of ice melts off and I clear the floor of the water, I'll check it out. My biggest fear is the heater core might be damaged. I already have a spare radiator and being a Minnesota native I am familiar with frost plug replacement if necessary.

The rr is not railroad although the service is fast. Downloads that used to take 15 minutes via modem is about 25 seconds now.
