Re: 16V, low oil pressure, buzzing sound 700 90

Removing the belt which drives the balance shafts would rule them out as a source of the buzzing. Sorry I don't a suggestion on the low oil pressure. It is interesting that my '91 16-valve failed at about 150K in exactly the same way. I think the oil pump pulley bolt was over-torqued at the factory or some defect in the pulley causes them to wobble and cause a tensile failure in the bolt. Keep us posted on what you find. I am planning to rebuild mine and would lke to know about possible pitfalls.
