DOOR HINGE PROBLEM 900 1992

Can anyone offer me any advice on the following problem; when I open or close the driver's door of my car I can hear two distinct cracks. On investigation I have found that as the check bar, which is located on the bottom hinge, is depressed by the knurled rollers it jumps on it's mounting causing the cracking sound. I have checked the other hinges in the car and the rollers and check bar appear to run smmothly together with no cracking sound.

Does anyone think that this just down to normal wear and tear - my car has only done 66,000 miles ? If it is wear and tear can a repair be effected by just replacing the check bar; if so does this involve stripping out the lower hinge ?

Thanks in advance for any help.
