Re: idle / rev counter problem 900

Read the 700/900 FAQ section about the OBD (OnBoard Diagnostics) and it will tell you how to read out the fault codes. I would suspect you might find an error with the Crank Position Sensor. It's responsible for ignition timing and tachometer information.

Keep in mind that whatever component the OBD tells you is failing, could actually be the electrical connections to that component, rather than the component itself.
