Re: fuel pump whine 200 1982

Make sure it is the one from under the seat. My under the seat (main) pump totally died, then a month after that my in-tank started whining but I could swear it was the original pump under the drivers seat. Let it idle, get out of the car and put you head under there a bit. Then sneak your head in the trunk or under the rear bumper.

Funny thing though, I noticed a slight whine again. I wonder now if it may be something with the fuel regulator causing this. Maybe too much resistance or something.

I guess I didn't fully help you out..sorry.
