Re: Airbox modifications 200 1986

There are a few variables that may affect your car's performance.

1.)If your 240's engine is fuel injected (B230F) then you may be messing up the fuel mixture reading due to improper intake air temperature.

2.) secondly, in cool weather, you may be causing an incomplete combustion due to the computer module causing too rich of a mixture.

It has been my experience that in the newer 240's, the best performance and reliability is achieved by good maintenance (clean air filter, etc.) and keeping things up to OEM performance. (Suspension bushings, etc.)

What you may want to investigate for increased performance, are items such as hi performance exhaust system, IPD performance goodies (cams, swaybars, etc.)
