redoing wiring harness 200 83

Bricksters:

Just got into town for Thanksgiving and find I have to help my son redo his wiring harness tomorrow. I have the instructions from your site but they only cover the 5 wires from the grey connectorto the engine and starter/alternator. I figure to redo these tomorrow (in the rain, to boot). I see that the wires to the ECU on the passenger's side fender are also deteriorating. Do I need to replace these? I assume the same thing is happening to them as the original 5 wires. anybody done this before? thanks in advance and Happy T

Thanksgiving. I gave thanks for the Brickboard. Genaro.
