Additional to Steve's info...

I found that pulling the radio towards you as you lever the tabs inward was most awkward.

I did the job by myself, however, if you can muster some help, the help can pull the radio while you lever the tabs. The fit of the radio is snug so a slight sideways movement with the pulling can help. Be careful of the plastic facia fitting which the top of the radio comes into contact as you pull it out.

Just installed a cd changer into the glovebox so radio removable is a recent task.
