Re: Is 960 too risky? 900 1993

I also recommend the car, having a 92 965. I absolutley love the car, although I must admit some of the model's potentially catastrophic problems has caused some anxiety along the way. The most important advice I can give you is to find a very competent mechanic who has worked on these cars and go over it with a fine tooth comb. From the FAQs you can pretty much provide a list of those things to check. If you can leave the car overnight, let the mechanic pressure check the cooling system when the bolck is cold. But don't forget to look at fender bolts out of align, suggesting a front-end crash. As I have said before to others, there is always some reason these cars are being sold, so be careful. Don't trust the fact that it is being sold by a dealer, unless you have long and good experience with them. Good luck!
