940 auto lockup 900 1991

Hi all,

Yesterday while driving home the torque converter on my 940 AW71L started acting up. While acclerating the TC locked up at about 90Km/h then unlocked as soon as it hit 100Km/h. If I let off the throttle, went back under 90 then acclerated again the TC would lock up at 90 then unlock again at 100Km/h. So instead of turning at 2600rpm at 100kmh then engine was turning at about 2800-2900rpm. I checked the kickdown cable and throttle cable and found that both appear to be out of adjustment. The throttle drum doesn't turn all the way to the full throttle stop and the kickdown cable is about 10mm short between the crimp and the adjuster sleever. Could something here be causing this? Fluid in trans is fine both level and condition. All advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Roll on
