radio question 700 1989

This question may sound petty but it is important! I own a great running 1989 740 with original TD-6141 radio. Radio presently displays the frequency/channel at all times. I would like to change this to display the time of day at all times instead. I know this is possible because I have seen many other 7's with same radio with time of day displayed, not the radio channel. Any suggestions? (Please don't say wear a watch!) Thank you.
