Throttle body removal question 700 1987

Taking a look at my throttle body, the ball and socket on the left side that opens and closes the throttle plate, how do I remove that (the ball and socket) so I can get the TB off? I've read the FAQ several times and the archives, and it mentions that there is a tab to bend. I don't see any tabs, only the socket covered in rubber. It looks like it should just pop off if you pull on it, but it does not.

Do I loosen the ball and socket (tighten one, loosen another) and that pops it off?

Other than that, it looks like the throttle body switch wiring needs to be removed. That pop off easily?

Thanks.
