Fumoto valve 900 1994

I've just received my Fumoto oil drain valve for the 940, with the nipple extension that facilitates a hose connection while draining. Now that I have this thing in my hand, I'm concerned it will protrude too far down and risk hitting something on the road. The entire length of this thing is about 1-7/8" from the seal to tip. Given that the 9xx series rides a bit lower than the 240, am I taking too much risk? Not that I do any off-roading, but......

Anyone got this on their 9xx/7xx?

thx for input.

(see fumotovalve.com for the curious)
