Re: after new suspension,I'd like more hp 900 93

Your car should have great acceleration off the line. I suspect it is out of tune. The older cars with the larger turbos lagged a bit more.

The best modification I made for off the line acceleration was a higher stall speed torque converter from MVP. I think you can e-mail Peter Linssen at mvprd@teleport.com. If not, there should be a link from Turbobricks, at www.turbobricks.org Feel free to write that I suggested you contact them.

There is much more you can do, but the torque converter helps the car almost rocket off the line. After that you might want a larger exhaust. Then increase the boost substantially. You can also buy a chip from BSR in Sweden (most of the power comes from raised boost, but the fuel maps are revised a bit to improve driveability).

If you go to a larger turbo, you usually lose some bottom end response. This can be overcome with a ball bearing turbo, but those are very expensive. A TD04HL series turbo from a 70 series or Saab Viggen would also help, if you could find a used one cheap. The HL series is from the same family of turbo as you have now (assuming a Mitsubishi TD04H) but has higher boost potential without losing efficiency.

I would stay away from the MVP/IPD cam. It requires a cam gear to restore the low end power that it sacrifices for improved mid range and top end. You need low end power with an automatic. Try the Unitek Phase One cam instead. It has no real compromises and offers improvements throughout the power curve.

Review the Turbobricks website Mods section for more ideas.
