How many hours to change struts? 700

For anyone who is curious, it took me about 4 hours plus 3 hours on a bus to buy a new top strut assembly nut when I lost one.

Best tip I can give is to loosen the top spring retainer nut most but NOT ALL the way on the car where it's attached to something. Similarly, break the strut retaining gland nut loose with the strut installed in the car. I soaked mine with WD-40 weekly for a few weeks and had zero difficulty with them. I ended up reusing the old ones because the new ones had a smaller diameter by like 10mm overall and less meat in the event anyone changes out the strut inserts ever again.
