ZF vs Cam steering racks 200

We have one 1991 240 that has a ZF rack in it. I just replaced the fat fluid return line across the top where it had been worn thru by the oil pan due to sagging motor mounts.

All our other 240s seem to have Cam racks, with small diameter fluid lines. The Cam in our 1978 242GT has excessive play on the driver side, toe cannot be set. And it leaks a lot if left undriven for a few days. I've taken that brick out of service.

Some opine that the ZF is a superior rack. I'd hoped that the 1990 M47 parts car we just bought was a ZF rack...but it's another Cam.

What would you gentlemen recommend? Take the easy way out and put in another Cam? Or keep looking for a ZF rack?

Reno, Central TX, 6 bricks of which 4 run.
