mY '64 544 BACKFIRES VIOLENTLY AT HIGH RPM'S - A SPORADIC PROBLEM NOT CONSTANT.
iT SOUNDS LIKE A MACHINE GUN FIRING, ESPECIALLY GOING UPHILL. SO FAR HAVE ADJUSTED VALVES, REPLACED FUEL PUMP, NEW TIMING GEAR,NEW 123 ELECTRONIC DISTRIBUTOR AND NEW PLUG WIRES, CLEANED PLUGS, ALSO NEW FLOATS AND FLOAT VALVES
IN SU CARBS...RUNS PERFECTLY MOST OF THE TIME EXCEPT AT HIGH RPMS. ANY IDEAS WILL BE APPRECIATED.
