Oil pump drive question

I think I remember that the b230f oil pump in the 240's is driven with a slot setup on the end of the distributor shaft. The distributor being driven by a gear on the intermediate shaft.

The b230f in the 7/9 series has the distributor driven by the cam. What is the setup in the 7/9 cars for driving the oil pump?

When putting a b230ft into a 240 car there isn't room for the cam mounted distributor so an intermediate shaft and distributor from a 240 has to be installed. Once that is done does it interfere with the original oil pump setup on the b230ft?

I had always thought I would get around to installing a b230ft in a 240 and actually gathered some of the parts to do that. However, life got in the way and I am no longer looking for a project like that. I just recently wondered how the oil pump drives differed on those two engines.
