144 pedal box removal 140-160 1967

Chris,
Yes I have pulled the cotter pin and barrel that is attached to for the pedal.
I was thinking of removing the "tuning fork" for the pedal also since it seems to be impeding the pedal box removal. I wonder if I could pull out that long rod from brake booster from inside the car or is that threaded in there ??

The four bolts that hold the brake booster to the firewall have been removed also.
Just seems to be something under that instrument cluster that's binding.
