This thread started and ended in 2004.

Volvo Tips is a resource. Yet I can't stand the ads (so we use uBlock Origin ad blocker).

The Volvo Tips site content manager converted the original Volvo factory service and technical documentation (in scanned or published directly to) PDF files is in Adobe Flash files. You need the Adobe Flash or Shockwave driver to see some Volvo Tips content in your web browser.

As you may know, most browsers no longer support, or won't allow, Adobe Flash and Shockwave files to play in FireFox, Chrome, Edge, and other browsers. The Adobe video playback software for web browsers has seemingly unending security issues.

I sometimes download the files after accessing the HTML Volvo Tips pages, use the current flash software, and view the content on my local hard drive.

Headlight Relay

You do not need a Volvo 240 headlight relay.

You can use a relay and fuse setup meant for the current load that thrives in the under-hood (weather sealed, heat tolerant) or passenger cabin. You can then use the circuit to delivery full fused B+ power to the low and high beam headlight filaments.
