Stalled after hitting hole - won't start 200

On my way home from work today, my otherwise reliable '89 240 with m47 stalled after hitting a hole where the road changed from pavement to dirt. I drive this road several times a week and the hole wasn't any worse than it usually is. It stalled almost immediately and won't start. Intermittently, it will seem like it's going to start, but quickly go back to just cranking until I turn the ignition off and try starting it again.

Here's what I've done so far...

Checked fuse panal - #7 keeps burning out, but I think that is just for the brake lights

Replaced 25amp fuse even though it looked ok.

Unplugged MAF to see if it would start in "limp mode"

Check spark/distributer wires to make sure they were tight

Gas tank is almost full

Replaced fuel pump relay

Any recommendations on how to check spark/fuel easily while alone on the side of the road are welcome.

Thanks!
