240 dashboard console 200

Is there any solution to old brittle plastic issues with the dashboard console? I took out the radio yesterday and as per usual the console broke away at one of its weak points. Ron has suggested dashes only.com and I took a look but didn't price out the cost of sending this console down to California and having it refurbished and shipped back. They do a very nice job but I don't think my 82 242 GLT is probably worth this kind of very special restoration work.

I have owned this car for 25 years now and want to keep driving it until my driving days are over. If you have alternative ideas to dashes.com or going to the wrecking yard please let me know.

I am looking for the place in Moldavia that builds new factory consoles from dies they bought from Sweden in 1984! And sells them for peanuts!

Well. . . you know what I mean.

Bob
