Anyone Heard of a Cracked Torque Converter" 900 1993

I'm pulling the 03-71L transmission out of my daughter's 1993 940 sedan with 230K miles on it this weekend.

I went to see a transmission shop to see if they could replace the leaking torque converter seal and bushing on Monday. They have replaced a couple seals and a bushing in the past and I have had no leaks, although the torque converter seal had never leaked in the other couple replacements. I had the seals and bushing replaced previously because the engine rear main seal was leaking.

The shop mentioned that they pressure test the torque converters for leaks. I can't see where anyone on the Brickboard had ever has a cracked torque converter. Anyone heard of this?
