Blower motor, hot and cold. 200 1993

When it's freezing cold, and before the engine warms, if I turn the blower motor on it screeches in all speeds except high. If it's warm outside it makes no noise at all.
Does this sound like the bearings for the motor? If so, my plan it to drill through the blower motor casing and squirt some oil toward each end of the casing. Did this with a 240 I used to own and it worked good.
I would do this instead of taking the dash apart and replacing the motor, a job I have done twice and do not want to do again.
