Question Andrew: Do you use a remote oil filter?

I helped my #1 daughter with her oil change today and mentioned to her some are able to suck the oil from the dipstick. Not being physically disabled, I thought of the work underneath the car much easier than changing the filter, but I wonder how you find that task... Now maybe if the filter were on the firewall, as some folks plumb them, the whole routine could be a lot neater and less likely to be procrastinated.
