544 Motor Mounting Bracket Headache 444-544

The B18/PV and B18/Amazon brackets have different part numbers. The rubber mounts also have different numbers. If your replacement engine came from an Amazon that might be the reason for the wrong fit. Might also be that the new rubbers are Amazon type which could be shorter. B20 mounts are thicker and I believe they are cast alloy? As per your link It's best to use the brackets that match the car and then they will match to the engine. Pot luck the other way round.
