544 Motor Mounting Bracket Headache 444-544

I just went out to the garage and looked at my '64 with a B20.

My brackets look MUCH thicker than yours. AND they look much more aged than yours, closer to 1/2" thick.

Perhaps your brackets are from another model.

Before you drill or cut anything try to find other brackets.

You could also add a spacer at the engine and have a tab welded to the crossmember end to modify the brackets you have.

Anyone who builds cars would work on the brackets rather than on the car.
