Clutch recommendations 200

hi sages- this is an interesting question. have installed many clutches since the 60s. most of them went in dodges and fords. most were remanufactured from the auto parts store(pep boys,napa, etc.) . all were borg and beck style from CU called a matched set(pressure plate and disc). the borg style was a 3 finger centrifugally assisted type- not a diaphragm type like volvo and chevrolet. do know the diaphragm style has less gripping strength and is easier to push which may account for why they slip sooner. have not changed a volvo clutch yet. only problem i ever had was in a valiant and a polara where the clutches slipped after about 10k miles but ithink it was my fault b/c i skimped and didnt get the flywheel resurfaced. on rare occassions it doesnt pay to be a cheap bastid. any cheap bastids on the board? although i plan to do the eventual volvo 245 clutch myself, im curious what the volvo dealer might try to soak me for. bet he would have to make a home run and try to clip me for $1500. let me know. thanks tons oldduke
