240 Torque rod bushings

Indeed.

Did you replace with solid rubber bushes or go the (poly) urethane route?

If solid rubber bushes, remember, you'll apply torque to the center bolt when the vehicle is on the a level surface, with empty boot and such.

Like, as if, you took your fabulous 240 to the alignment shop for an alignment, and you ask the alignment technician to loosen and then re-torque the center bolt so the rubber bushing material is, in essence, relaxed, when the car is at resst.

If poly or polyrethane bushes, use a synthetic silicon grease, like NLGI-2 SuperLube. Slather it up and press in the bushes. On the torque rods, a sleeve with mirror-smooth inside diameter is not necessary. These usually pivot around a smooth on both side center shaft, like the poly torque rod bushes at iPd, FCP Groton, and the offering from Whiteline bushings from Australia (now available in the U.S.)

cheers,

dud.
