upside down car - engine damage? Restart procedure? 200 1980

Hi folks. OP here with the outcome - Daylight: first off, amazed at the integrity of the car. Windshield badly cracked, but stayed in place, some crumpling on the very forward part of the roof. Drivers side mirror (side it rolled on) glass broken, small dent in rear door. opening the hood reveals oil everywhere, kind of expected that. Car was upside down for 4 hours. Battery stayed secure and it's an AGM sealed unit, lucky there. PS and Brake fluid fine - no leaks levels good. No gasoline in the luggage compartment, looks like a bit leaked out the filler pipe onto the fender. Glad 2 posters mentioned hydrolock - i remember that from another Volvo with a blown head gasket. Hydrolocked with oil - makes sense. So we took out the plugs and cranked. oil spraying out on to the firewall - yeah! got that mess all cleaned up and the plugs cleaned. 3 quarts to get it back up to level. Fired it over and took a few tries, but caught and ran, just smoked like hell for 5 minutes. Also lost 2 full quarts of ATF - replaced that. let it run at idle for about 20 minutes, had the fire extinguisher handy, despite good wiping, there was still a lot of oil to burn off the block and manifold, etc. after all the smoke cleared and it was idling it's usual smooth self, took it for a short test drive. All seems well. So now, time to find a new windshield. What a great car!
