I would use just a metal connector, crimped and not soldered, with no plastic insulating shield. The latter will dissolve in gas and solvents. If they exist, zinc plated connectors would be best for corrosion control. Try Google to look for one of the major electronics supply stores like Mouser that carry everything and sell in very small quantities.
