"E' clip specs (size) for shift linkage on the AW's??

I am guessing the E clip fell off of the linkage on the AW transmission on my son's 1992 745. He reports the linkage just moves freely back and forth without putting the car in any gear. He was backing out of his driveway and had stopped before trying to shift to drive when this occurred.

So far I have been unsuccessful in locating one in any of my small parts stashes here and will need to try to purchase one somewhere before driving down tomorrow to address the issue.

Anybody happen to know what I need to ask for when looking to purchase one?
