Unsolicited Offers wow what a question 200

hi hawk and others- have had my92 245 for about 2 and a half years. in the last year about 5 persons have offered to buy the volvo . not interested in selling but if so would be firm at 3k. have talked with these seekers and found a common motive. repairs are much cheaper and most can be done by yourself if you are handy with backyard mechanics. they all complain about the costly and difficult repairs on modern cars. the manual trans on the 240 makes it a hot seller too. automatics will thin your wallet faster than a spendaholic wife. only problem with the 240 for cheap bastid shadetree mechanics is parts are tougher to find. take for example the recent thread on the gemo clutch cable- apparently no more in america. even a higher price for a used 240 pales in comparison to 3 years of car payments on a depreciating asset and exhorbitant car repairs for newer cars. also noticed lately an exponential increase in new member applications for the cba club. any takers here? as always oldduke
