76 245 ran at 3/4 throttle then died when I let up on the pedal will not start again 200

On the 1976 model, if I remember, there is a safety switch on the side of the sensor housing. If you disconnect it and leave the key in the run position when you lift the sensor plate the pump will start turning. Have the injectors out at that time and you can see the spray pattern and that they all start flowing at the same instant.
If the pump turns and there is no fuel flow when you lift the plate then the plunger in the fuel distributor is stuck.
If the injectors just sort of dribble and don't make a noise when flowing then the pump is probably weak and making low pressure.
