Water leak 900 1993

Dear southernnx,

Hope you're well. I don't have a 940 with a sunroof, so am at a disadvantage: I do not know the exact locations of the drain tubes. I'd open the sunroof fully and see if there are small openings, towards the tracks' rear ends.

I'd guess the rear drain tubes descend through the "C" pillar (behind the rear seat). The tube openings could also be clogged by dirt or overspray of undercoating (possible, if underbody work was done recently).

Some questions:
(a) does the headliner now shows signs of water damage?
(b) was there water on both sides of the rear floor, or just on one side?
(c) are the door seals in good order?
(d) are the sunroof seals in good order?

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
