front caliper sticking and releasing 200 1987

If the caliper gets too hot and you boil your fluid ,
you WILL lose 100% of your brakes !!!!

Ask me how I know ?

Because this has happened to me TWICE on my 1993 240 . I replaced passenger front caliper about two years ago . Then just this past week my front drivers side apparently started dragging just enough to get the fluid to boiling without ever pulling and I completely lost the brakes.

The brake fluid in my car was replaced two years ago , so was good , didn't have water or anything it.

A new caliper at Autozone is just $ 39 and takes about 10 mins to put on .

If you have any doubts - replace it now .
