New temp gauge sensor installed; now gauge is near red 200 1984

"I ordered it by mistake. I meant to order a new temp sensor for the LH system but got the two mixed up. And since I got a new gauge sensor, I figured I would install it for the heck of it thinking that it wouldn't do any harm."

Dont feel bad,I did exactly the same thing.I ordered the wrong sensor, decided to replace the old temp sender "for the heck of it",and the gauge did weird things. Like I said, I finally gave up and installed a secondary gauge.

Good luck and best wishes.
