Proper ECT sensor test? 200 1993

Thanks so much for the input. So many of my mechanical missteps start with an incorrect assumption. (installing the new ECT sensor assuming it was good was just the most recent example) Keeping with the theme, I followed the excellent suggestion on verifying the meter, and thumbing through my Bentley, picked out the fuel injectors to test on ECU terminals 9 and 12 and was surprised and delighted to find (after roaming the range selector options) exactly 4.0 which is called for. And it looks like eeuropeparts is going to grant me an exchange, so fingers are crossed. Really glad that I have a spare 240 to drive and am not under duress to fix this quickly!
