My rear end makes funny noises 200 1984

But enough about me.

Sometimes after applying the parking brake, my 240 will squeak upon acceleration for a few seconds. I say sometimes because, after having it parked for almost a week, it was quiet as a mouse this morning. I think the rear pads are ready to be replaced, but I wouldn't think that this would be the cause of the squeak. The parking brake shoes don't seem to be dragging as the car free-wheels fine, at least as far as I can tell.

What do you think? Maybe all of the salt on the roads this past winter is causing some corrosion back there.
