For what it's worth, there a quite a few independent car haulers out there. You might find a nicer car in S California and have it trucked up to Oregon. Buying a car sight unseen is a bit daunting, but I've had very good luck over the years. My next door neighbor has been buying Yamaha 175 enduros off ebay and getting them shipped for very reasonable prices. Ebay Motors has good links to car haulers- they bid on the deliveries. If you're going to have the car for a number of years, a few extra weeks to get the right one is no big deal. Just my 2 cents worth.
